For many decades now, we’ve seen the steady decline and collapse of so many native aquatic and terrestrial species in the Central Valley,” Davis said. “Fortunately, there’s this collective awareness now that we’ve lost so much dynamism in our ecology, our landscapes, and importantly in our rivers and we’re all now working to restore some of that dynamism that underpinned so much of what we value in nature.
