Against the backdrop of the Sutter Buttes, Heritage Growers’ 200-acre farm is filled with native grasses, milkweed, and wildflowers. Rows upon rows upon rows of this native vegetation have been cultivated by our native seed nonprofit to address and tackle the shortage of locally adapted native seeds needed to restore damaged ecosystems at scale. The work of Heritage Growers is helping hit statewide conservation targets and to help habitats increase climate resilience.
“Native vegetation is really the heart or the starting point for any habitat value.”
~ Heritage Growers General Manager Pat Reynolds
