As part of a suite of funding from the California Wildlife Conservation Board for restoration and research in the San Joaquin Valley, River Partners collected 600 soil samples to be tested for environmental DNA (eDNA) for a broader and richer understanding of the life forms that call our San Joaquin Valley restoration project sites home.

It can help us understand things like how these restoration sites change as they age, what kind of food webs are out there, and how the organisms that are out here interact with each other.
