Merced River ProjectsWorking with Stillwater Sciences and Department of Fish and Game, River Partners planted over 1,600 plants in a gravel reclamation area. This multi-faceted revegetation experiment was designed to examine minimum growing conditions necessary for tree establishment in coarse substrate. Variables included tree species, depth to groundwater, irrigation, and weed control. |
