Kern River ProjectsThe Panorama Vista Preserve Restoration Project includes the acquisition and restoration of floodplain and upland habitat along 2.75 miles of the Kern River north of Bakersfield California for the benefit of wildlife, plants, and people. The Kern River Corridor Endowment and Holding Company, Inc. is the lead organization in the restoration of habitats and management of recreational uses at the Panorama Vista Preserve. To date, 935.36 acres of riverside lands have been purchased in fee title, and approximately 50 acres of riparian restoration is currently underway on previously disturbed Preserve lands. |
